We’re glad that you’re interested in knowing our story. Over the years, we have read a number of books, watched inspirational movies, and gathered a whole heap of quotes. But one thing that we have come to believe is:

“Nothing changes if nothing changes”

So, yes, we decided to start small. And, yes, we started with straws. Well, why the hell not? Pardon the fruity language. But, Consider this:

A coffee shop needs 100 straws per day.
That’s 3,000 per month and 36,000 per year.
Now multiply that by millions of coffee shops across the country.

The world has gone from plastic to paper straws. A good thing, right? But did anybody stop to think: Where are these paper straws really coming from? The whole issue of deforestation becomes very real.

So, we asked ourselves, “Is there not a better way?” And there is!

Rice-based straws are:

Tree-free
Completely guilt-free

Our promise is simple: we want to replace plastic and paper straws with a straw that lasts in your drink, not in the environment.

How Did We Get Here?

It was late 2025, and a few of us found ourselves in Kerala. The sunsets, the coffee shops, and the smell of fresh coffee were all perfect. We were brainstorming ideas to make everyday items more environmentally friendly when inspiration struck.

One of our friends, Sam (who is a bit of a drama king), was drinking his iced tea through a paper straw, but it immediately turned into a soggy mess.

He groaned, waving his soggy straw like a flag of defeat, and then he exclaimed: “Ugh! We need better straws, man!!”

And just like that, it lit a spark. We realized that “better” didn’t exist – not in paper, not in plastic. So we decided to make it ourselves:

A straw that does not dissolve during the drink.
A straw that is 100% environment-friendly.

It wasn’t just about making iced tea taste better; it was about leaving a better world for the next generation.
